Best time of year to fly

Tenerife flies all year — but some months suit your plans better than others.

The Canary Islands sit in the Atlantic trade-wind belt, which makes south Tenerife one of the most reliable paragliding destinations in Europe. We operate throughout the year; the question is usually when you are visiting and how flexible your dates are.

Year-round flying

South-coast tandem flights run in every season when weather is safe. Many guests are surprised that January can be as flyable as July — often with clearer air and fewer crowds.

Teide flights are more weather-sensitive and are scheduled on suitable days year-round, with more windows in stable high-pressure periods.

Peak season (roughly October–April)

Holiday periods and winter sun season are our busiest. Book further ahead if you are travelling at Christmas, Easter, or school holidays.

Mornings are often the smoothest slot — we confirm your exact pickup time after booking.

Summer (May–September)

Long days and warm beach weather — still excellent flying, though afternoon thermals can mean we choose launch sites and times carefully.

If your dates are fixed, book early and stay reachable on WhatsApp the day before — we always prioritise safe, flyable conditions over a fixed timetable.
