What is a paratrike flight?
Classic paragliding meets a ground launch — a different way to fly.
Paratrike is powered paragliding: the wing is inflated from a lightweight cart on flat ground rather than running off a mountainside. You still fly in a tandem harness with a certified pilot.
How it works
The engine drives the cart until the wing lifts — then you are airborne, seated in the harness as on a normal tandem flight.
Fly up to 500 m depending on the day's weather. Flight time is roughly 25 minutes.
Who it is best for
Guests who prefer not to run on a slope — mobility concerns, older family members, or anyone curious about a different take-off.
Repeat flyers who have done Standard or Recommended and want something new without committing to a full Teide day.
How it compares
Classic south flights launch from the mountains and typically reach higher altitudes on Recommended or Performance.
